ATAP began in 2007, when Carlos and Tiffani Worthy saw a need to develop youth into productive leaders. Dr. Carlos Worthy brought the foundation to Burlington County in 2012. Programs build academics, athletics, awareness, and arts, widening what students know beyond their own community.
In the afterschool room, school-age children settle at tables to finish homework, then move to activities for the rest of the afternoon. Full-day programs in spring, summer, and fall keep that rhythm going, with academic enrichment and STEAM built into the day. Snacks are part of the routine. Ask us what a typical afternoon looks like for your child's grade.
On a visit, watch how children move between homework, projects, and free time without much fuss. Staff know each child by name, and the rooms are set up so kids can find what they need and get to work. Ask what your child would do on their first afternoon.
What a day looks like
Mornings start with children arriving and settling into their rooms. A teacher greets each family at the door and helps children put their things away. Children ease into the day at their own pace before the first activity begins.
The middle of the day mixes movement, small-group projects, and quieter focused work. Children eat together, then rest or read. In good weather, they go outside. Full-day programs in spring, summer, and fall follow this same steady rhythm.
By late afternoon, children are finishing projects and gathering their belongings. Teachers tell you what your child worked on and how the day went. Closing time is 6 pm. Please pick up promptly, as a late fee applies after that.
How we work with families
At pickup, teachers share a few specifics: what your child worked on, who they played with, what they ate. If you have a question about your child's day, ask then, or leave a note. Your teacher can also point you to the office for anything about your account.
In the first week, teachers watch how your child settles and adjust the day to fit. You can ask questions at pickup or by email. If you'd like to talk through anything, staff will make time.

Tour the room
Come see the classroom your child would join. You will meet the teachers who run it and watch how the room is set up for the day.
Enroll and settle in
Complete the enrollment forms and pay the registration fee. Then we plan a first week that suits your child's routine, so the transition is steady.

Can we visit before deciding?
Yes. A tour is how most families decide, and children are part of it. You will see the rooms, meet staff, and ask about schedules, tuition, and the Procare autopay setup before you register.
What should my child bring on the first day?
Pack a change of clothes, a labelled water bottle, and a comfort item if your child has one, with names on everything. For before and after school care, a backpack for homework helps. Ask us about anything specific to your child's program.
Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?
Schedules depend on the age group and on openings in each room. Call or email to ask what is available for your child right now.
What if there is no place right now?
If the room your child needs is full, ask to be told when a place opens. We'll note your child's age and reach out.
