Before & After School Program, Students K-8.

Before and after school care at ATAP, where students K-8 find homework help and a place to belong.

The Before & After School Program room

The Before & After School Program at ATAP is for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. It focuses on four areas: academics, athletics, awareness, and arts. The program is designed to empower youth and enhance the community.

Enrollment is limited to 35 students, so each child gets attention. In the room, there is down time to recharge, a healthy and substantial snack, and time to complete homework. The pace is steady but not rushed.

Your child gains a consistent place to finish schoolwork and explore new things. They build skills in the four focus areas and discover what's possible for them to achieve.

Four children sit at a table playing with colorful interlocking blocks in a classroom.

What to expect

Before & After School Program

The ATAP aftercare program serves students K-8 and blends academics, athletics, awareness, and arts. The afternoon includes down time, a healthy and substantial snack, and homework completion in a colorful learning center. Optional before school care is available for an additional fee. ATAP parents have left 5-star Google Reviews.

What this looks like in practice

The afternoon starts when children arrive from school and settle into the room. Enrollment is capped at 35 students, so teachers can move between tables and check in with each child. There is down time first, then a healthy and substantial snack, then homework. After homework, the afternoon opens up to academics, athletics, awareness, and arts.

Parents often notice the homework folder first. A child who has finished assignments during aftercare comes home with the evening free for dinner, rest, and family. That quiet evening, repeated week after week, adds up. Children also carry back what they practiced in the learning center, where books and wall art keep them curious about the wider world.

Five children and one adult stand in a dance studio with blue barres, most holding their arms above their heads.
